Step-by-Step instructions to make Pork Meatballs:

  • Mix together the Beeler’s ground pork, seasonings, flour, onions, green onion, celery and olive oil in a large bowl. Mix well to incorporate then allow the mixture to rest for few minutes before forming into balls. I would recommend using a medium sized scoop. If you prefer larger or smaller meatballs, feel free to use another size scoop. Be sure to adjust the cooking time according to the size of meatball you make.
  • To cook, line a metal baking sheet with aluminum foil and then cover the foil with a piece of parchment paper. By using the parchment paper you are not cooking your food directly on the foil. The foil adds an extra protective layer especially when cooking with ingredients that produce a lot of grease. When supper is over, you can easily fold up the foil and parchment for a faster cleanup.

FRom scratch kitchen tips

  • Is it better to make meatballs with beef or pork? Pork has a higher fat content so the meatballs will be softer and richer.
  • What kind of sauce goes with pork meatballs? My top two would be pasta sauce and I also serve them with my favorite BBQ sauce. Be fun with cooking and try any sauce that is your favorite to see which you like best.
  • Can this recipe be doubled? Yes, this recipe is easily doubled.
  • Do pork meatballs freeze well? Yes, they do. You can cook them and then freeze or form into balls and flash freeze before putting them into a freezer bag or container to cook at a later date.
  • What is the best way to store leftovers? I typically store in a glass food storage container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
