Why we love this recipe..

This is another recipe passed down from my dear mother. It was a Thanksgiving and Christmas tradition that she started and passed down to us. Even though this recipe is so easy to make ourselves, we never did. It was something we knew Mom would be making for us and we couldn’t wait to get to her house to eat it. This favorite treat was something we would snack on while we waited for the meal. Now that she has passed away, you will find it in all of our homes each holiday. It is now our tradition and we make sure to have it available for all to enjoy in her honor.

6 super simple ingredients is all that is needed.

  • Philadelphia Cream Cheese
  • A dash of Milk to make it smooth and creamy
  • Green Onion
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Celery

From Scratch kitchen tips

  • Does Celery and Cream Cheese taste good together? Yes! It’s amazing, so give it a try and I am positive you will begin to crave it regularly not just on holidays.
  • Is Cream Cheese Stuffed Celery a healthy snack? We think so. It pairs a vegetable with a protein and that is always a positive. It’s an excellent way to keep your blood sugar balance with a quick snack.
  • Other serving suggestions: Serve as part of a charcuterie board and offer celery, crackers and pieces of bread that your guest can spread the cream cheese on.
  • PRO TIP: Recently discovered this past Thanksgiving, this cream cheese mixture is delicious spread on lightly toasted bread and used to make a sandwich with leftover ham or turkey. Try it!
  • How to store? It is okay to store the already stuffed celery in a glass storage container for 1-2 days. Otherwise store the celery and dip separately and the dip will be good for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
