Why we love this recipe…

Due to a corn intolerance for a few people in this household, we needed to find a way to have baking powder on hand that we could use. Store bought baking powder is made with corn starch which means GMO corn. We also discovered that most baking powders contained aluminum which is also something we did not want. So the search began to find a different option which proved to be an impossibility in our area, so we decided to make our own. It is easy to make using only two simple ingredients you probably already have on hand. Made fresh and not sitting on store shelves for long periods of time, we found that it works better than store bought baking powder, yielding fluffier baked goods.

What makes this Baking Powder Aluminum Free?

After doing some research we discovered that Arm & Hammer Baking Soda is aluminum free while others may not be. It is very important to read the label and look for pure sodium bicarbonate.

Just two simple ingredients
