Choosing the right ingredients for the perfect coffee creamer:

Why does this matter? Well, each ingredient has a specific flavor that suits your families needs and taste buds. We all have our own style and preferences and that is something that is so important to keep in mind when creating a recipe. It is important to truly love the food you are serving. So, I will explain why I chose the ingredients and brands that I prefer but feel free to make some changes to make it your own.

Why did I use these specific products in this recipe?

  • Kalona Whole Milk I love this milk. It taste great and it is rich and creamy. They raise the cows on small family farms where they are able to graze on grass freely. The milk is not homogenized and is low temp pasteurized. They do not add preservatives or artificial ingredients. All of their products are rich and creamy and the most delicious dairy products I have ever had. Kalona Milk is a family-owned and worth supporting.
  • Maple Syrup – I love Skinny Sticks Pure Maple Syrup. Skinny Sticks was the only pure product at the time that I could find in my rural area grocery store. Once I tasted it I fell in love! They are a family-owned business as well and the whole family works together to bring us the most delicious syrup in glass bottles.
  • McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract This product is pure vanilla at a great price and it is gluten free. Most brands of vanilla extract are artificially flavored. Be sure to look for pure vanilla extract made from vanilla beans.

FROM SCRATCH KITCHEN TIPS

  1. I think it needs more of a maple flavor. The creamer seems to separate from the coffee it you don’t drink it immediately.

    1. Hello Tracy,
Sorry to hear that happened to you. We have not experienced those problems. Make sure you are using real maple syrup when making this recipe and make sure you shake or stir well before using in your coffee. We have not found the maple flavor to be strong, just enough to compliment the coffee. Increasing the maple syrup may cause this recipe to be too sweet.
