This classic dip recipe is super easy to make and is better than store bought any day! We combined sour cream, minced onion, garlic powder, salt, black pepper and green onion to make the best Simple French Onion Chip Dip Recipe.
Ingredients
- 16 oz. Sour Cream
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. Dried Minced Onion
- 1 tsp. Redmond Real Salt
- 1/4 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
- 1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1/3 Cup Finely Diced Green Onions, about 2 large(use white stem and green tops, cut in half then diced thin)
Instructions
1. Measure all of the dry seasonings, whisk them together, and then place into a small glass prep bowl. Set the seasonings aside.
2. Next, remove the outer layer of the green onion then cut off 1/4 of the green tip and the root area. Cut the entire stem in half lengthwise and finely dice the green onion into very thin pieces. Set green onion aside.
3. Empty the entire 16oz. container of sour cream into a medium size mixing bowl. Pour the dry seasonings over the sour cream and sprinkle the finely diced green onion over the top. Mix all the ingredients together and whip with your spatula for one minute to thoroughly combine.
4. Pour dip into a serving bowl, cover and place in the refrigerator for at least one hour so that all of the flavors can infuse into the sour cream.
